Three Things You Probably Didn’t Know About Vaping
Ever since vaping came on the scene, more and more people have taken to doing it. In fact, between 2013 and 2014, there was an increase of about 10,000 vape shops in the United States, which indicates that the practice is a trend that’s here to stay. Even though it’s relatively popular, there is still a quite a bit of misunderstanding floating around about vaping. Here are three things you probably didn’t know about it.
1. There’s no actual flame.
When a person uses a vaporizer device, there’s no actual flame or burning material. The entire device is made of plastics or metals. Users have no need for a lighter or matches, because nothing in a vape actually burns. A vape is powered by a lithium ion battery, which is the same type of battery used in cell phones and is designed for everyday use. Th-e vapor is produced by the heating of vape e juice.
2. It’s not actually smoking.
Many people seem to think that vaping is basically the equivalent of smoking, but that really is not the case. The major difference here is that vaping does not require the use of nicotine. Since e liquid juice produces the vapor, there is not necessarily nicotine being inhaled by the user. Vape juice is generally a mixture of vegetable glycerin or propylene glycol — nicotine could be added by the user if he or she wanted, but that’s not really the point of vaping.
3. Devices are reusable.
Another common misconception about vaping devices is that they’re disposable, like cigarettes are. Again, this isn’t really the case. There are a number of different ways to build vapes and a bunch of different accessories for vaporizers that users can pick up. This makes for a pretty customizeable experience. Since the devices are rechargeable as well, a vaper can hang on to his or her device for awhile with proper maintenance.
