My eyelashes are thinning

The older we get, the younger we want to look. Unfortunately, no one has discovered that magical fountain of youth to help us older folk regain our youth, but dermatologists and cosmetic doctors have come up with some pretty successful aging skin treatments to combat the wrinkles and fine lines that accompany old age. From Botox and fillers to over-the-counter creams, there are a number of ways you can make your skin look younger and healthier. Below are some of the products and aging skin treatments that are now available to help you regain that youthful look you’ve been dying for:

  1. Botox Treatment – Botox is a prescription medication that is injected into the skin to get rid of fine lines and wrinkles. Specifically, it works by relaxing muscles that create wrinkles. Botox injections typically take about 30 minutes and can last anywhere from 4 to 6 months.
  2. Juvederm Filler – Juvederm is one of the most popular facial fillers used to fill in wrinkles and fine lines. Like Botox, Juvederm is injected into the skin. Juvederm can also be used to add volume to parts of the body that might have lost some over the years. The lips are a very popular place for Juvederm injections.
  3. Chemical Peels – A chemical peel not only works on wrinkles, but also can remove acne scars and other skin discolorations. During a chemical peel, a layer of chemicals is applied to the skin. Over the next week or so, the outer layer of skin peels off, leaving you with a fresh, new layer skin. Getting rid of old and damaged skin gives your face, or other body parts, a chance to regrow and leaves your skin looking and feeling much healthier.
